How we list shops

Got Scent shows every place in the UAE to buy a perfume: full bottles and decants, side by side. We don't sell perfume and we don't take a cut. Shops are listed for free.
Which shops we list
- Shops that sell to buyers in the UAE, online or in store.
- Shops that sell the real perfume. Decant shops must pour from full bottles they bought.
- No copies, "inspired by" versions or refills of unknown origin.
Before we list a shop, we look at its website, what it says about where its stock comes from, and what buyers say about it. A shop that passes these checks gets the "Checked UAE shop" label.
Prices only with the shop's OK
We show a shop's prices and sizes only after the shop has told us in writing that it's happy for us to. Until then, the shop appears as a plain "View at shop" link. We never copy a shop's photos or descriptions.
How prices get here
A shop can share its catalogue as a Shopify link, as a spreadsheet, or we type it in by hand. Shopify catalogues are refreshed every night. Every price shows how many days ago it was checked, so you can tell how fresh it is. Always check the price on the shop's own site before you buy.
How the list is ordered
- Decants: lowest price per ml first.
- Full bottles: lowest price for the same bottle size first.
- When two prices are the same, the one checked most recently comes first.
- Prices not checked for more than 14 days move to the bottom.
- In the "All" view, bottles and decants take turns, so neither crowds out the other.
No shop can pay to be placed higher.
Shop labels
- Decanter: sells small amounts poured from full bottles.
- Perfume shop: sells full bottles, often from many brands.
- Marketplace seller: a seller on a large marketplace such as Amazon.ae or Noon. These appear as search links.
- Brand boutique: the brand's own shop.
When something goes wrong
Every listing has a "Report a problem" link: wrong price, out of stock, suspected fake or an order that never arrived. We read every report. If a shop gets two confirmed complaints, we look into it and decide whether it stays listed.

To be listed, or to stop being listed, email hello@gotscent.me. Listing is free, and the first five shops to join keep a free basic listing for good. If you ask us to remove your shop, we do it within two working days.
