Got Scent is a free website run by Nadya, an independent founder in the UAE. You can use all of it without an account or a password. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and we don't show ads.

What we collect and why

• Wish-list taps. When you tap "Add to my wish-list", we save the perfume (or what you searched for) and the time. This tells shops which scents UAE buyers want. It isn't linked to you.
• Your email, only if you give it. After a wish-list tap you can add your email and tick a separate box. We send one email to confirm it's you, then email you when a shop lists the scent you asked for. Nothing else, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Problem reports. The reason you pick, anything you write, and your email if you choose to give it, so we can reply.
• Clicks to shops. Which listing you clicked, on which page, and when. No personal data. We use this to show shops how many buyers we send them.
• Visit counts. We count page visits with an analytics tool that doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.

Cookies

Got Scent doesn't set cookies and doesn't track you across other websites.

Who helps us run the site

These services handle data for us, only to run Got Scent:

• Netlify: hosts the website. Like any web host, it sees your IP address when you load a page.
• Supabase: stores wish-list taps, emails, reports and clicks.
• Resend: sends the confirmation and "now available" emails.
• Cloudflare: checks that forms are sent by a person, not a spam bot, and counts visits.

Some of these services store data outside the UAE. We only use providers that protect personal data to a standard at least as strong as the UAE's Personal Data Protection Law.

How long we keep it

• Emails you haven't confirmed: deleted after 30 days.
• Confirmed emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Problem reports: 12 months.
• Wish-list taps and clicks without an email: kept as counts.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to emails at any time. Email hello@gotscent.me and we'll reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change how we use data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
